About our lessons program The CALAC swim club is proud to offer the "Olympic Way" swimming lessons as an introduction to competitive swimming. The "Olympic Way" is a recognized program which has been taught over many years in different clubs across Quebec and Ontario. The Olympic Way program is based on teaching all 4 swimming styles: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Our lessons are offered to children aged 5 years and older who are able to be alone in the water without the assistance of an adult or a flotation device. It is required that all new swimmers be evaluated free of charge by a Calac instructor in order to access registrations. This is done to ensure each swimmer is registered in the appropriate level. Our classes take place over 4 sessions of 10 lessons from September to June, as well as development clinics offered during the summer.
